The second period saw Dawson Creeks Ryan Matthews open the scoring with a perfect deflection. Eventually the Wild would answer back with a quick powerplay goal. Tempers would flare throughout the game with numerous fights and physical play. The score remained tied as the second period came to an end.The third period had both teams up their urgency level.
